A NOT SO SAD STORY

Hi, hello.  I am Katie Grogan.  Big fan of alternative music, alliteration, and ART.

 

My passion for pottery was set on fire again in the summer of 2019. Ali, my younger sister, had been talking about signing up for a ceramic workshop.  Impulsive me signed us both up and I bought a plane ticket to NYC.

The pure happiness I felt in the studio space made me realize that- yeah, maybe I need to look into making this a more permanent hobby. No joke, your girl left the workshop in tears of joy. Over the past few years I have built my home studio. Wheel, tools, glaze, clay and finally my own kiln.   

​

Now I am dabbling in getting my work out into the world and sharing it to a wider audience. Hence this shop to streamline sales.  Your support means more than you know.

WHY 'SAD GIRL'?

Let's take a positive spin on this. Mental Health Matters. Growing up, I was told I was an angsty teenager. Depression and anxiety are still part of my life. I would like to shine a positive light on "being sad". Without sadness, there can't be happiness.
